per ESPN.com...

Senior guard Darius Lane has decided not to pursue an extra year with the Seton Hall men's basketball program and has thus ended his college career.

Lane and head coach Louis Orr reached the mutual decision after discussions at the conclusion of the season.

Lane entered the program in 1998-99 as a partial qualifier and is making the necessary progress toward his degree requirements, which by NCAA regulations would allow him to regain the fourth year of eligibility. Lane, from Brooklyn Center, Minn., sat out 1998-99 but played the next three seasons for the Pirates.

Lane finishes his career at Seton Hall with 1,377 points, 18th on the school's all-time list.

That's too bad, he really had some potential, but he is probably doing what's best for him and I respect that.
