agree...if UofL is gonna keep up this type of public talk I wish they would just get the he#$ out. It's getting old really. If they want to go be UT/OU/OSU bit(h more power to them...they can stand in line and be the 5th or 6th most relevent football program in the B12. And no disrespect toward UL posters on this board either...I pull for UofL most of the time when you aren't playing UC, you guys know that.

If there was a move and I am saying "IF!!!!' because that check has been in the mail for a long time now. Then say it and move on. Otherwise shut it and stop screwing the rest of us. 01-lauramac2

All I know for sure is Louisville is in the Big East for the 2012-2013 season. 04-cheers

Again 04-cheers

They have to be WANTED by someone else...and right now...they are not wanted. (Heck, the Big 12 picked a school located in Morgantown, WV over Louisville).

I realize that but 90% of the UofL fans seem to think an invite to the B12 is this big secret that is going to be unleashed on everyone any day now...I'm tired of that kind of talk it's not going to help us when we sit down with NBC...

And it's not being made out of whole-cloth - this is getting peddled to their alums from the top.

Frankly, I've lost most interest in the Big 12 as They are way too Wishy Washy to see anything outside of Texas. If They had the vision to build an Eastern division to go with WVU it could have been something. But They seem stuck on themselves so Who cares.

Just to be clear with everyone. I'll allow this to continue. It was basically a calling out of Louisville and they have every right to fire back.

But, I DO NOT want to see this crap bleed over into other threads.

It is unfortunate that the fans of some programs that have never played a game in The Big East have taken this opportunity to snipe at UofL. Louisville fans need to leave this board alone as we are obviously no longer welcome here.

Despsite cries to contrary, the networks are fully aware of that situation as is every half-way educated fan in the nation. If Louisville is asked to join the Big 12 they will leave. We will replace them with ECU and move on. In the meantime, Louisville will continue to build a power conference quality program. Every member of the Big East should be trying to develop the same thing.

That's not my point. My point is, we already know. So shut there traps for a while and see how **** pans out. 04-chairshot

Thats not Louisville. Thats a US Senator...but I agree. I hope Louisville will be silent on the matter for now.

I grew up in NY, I love the big east, been to many events and all the talk from louisville is annoying me.
Here are a few things i've noticed:

All their fans are delusional. YOU are not as desirable as you may thing. First off, they almost got kicked out of conference USA.
Secondly, I know you think you are a great football shool, but you have no record of sustained success.
Thirdly, your coach has to beg for 20,000 people to show up to a free spring game. Real powerhouse programs don't have to beg for fans to show up they just do. Look at alabama, texas and Ohio State, they can regularly draw triple that number for spring game with out begging.
And their coaches don't have to close practice to the local media for lack of adequate coverage.

It would seem like you're in the same boat as the rest of the big east teams and instead of fans complaining about the conference, they should do their part (show up to games and support the program) to ensure the program moves forward.

Yeah, that will change the perception that UofL wants out of the league! 03-lmfao

RE: McConnell doesn't have the right talking points memo
1. This is funny...the University of Louisville administration/athletic department has said nothing derrogatory in public about the BIG EAST yet many on here whine about what a US Senator said that was retweeted by Brett McMurphy.

2. Now we got some so-called BIG EAST fan/fans claiming this and that up to 90% of us are "badmouthing" the league. Whatever.

Until further notice unless the University says otherwise we are proud members of the BIG EAST. The university cannot control what a powerful alum says nor should they. If the fans of other BIG EAST schools don't like it then too freak'n bad...get over it.

Oh yeah, for the record to the above poster...we got around 20K for our Spring Game and we are the only member that is left that averages over 50K for our Football games-(Rutgers might be the other)...until your school shows that kind of support than say something.

To those that bash UL and us UL fans especially with the message that "why do we think we are deserving to go to the B12 we don't have a worthy program".... My reply to you is, do you hear just us reporting rumors/news about going elsewhere, NO, you hear legitimate news sources for multiple years now putting our name out there, you hear officials within that conference mentioning us as a candidate, and from within you hear our AD being as openly honest to those he needs to be about what our feelings are now. We haven't pulled any backstabbing attempts/actions on anyone hear or officials of their school/conference, like others have already done in the conference. Excuse me if we are also getting very annoyed at you and your fanbases bashing us and our school throughout all of this. BTW, the most recent post above bashing us about 20k, who is your team anyways?

Exactly...and the thing is most of us have not badmouth the BIG EAST and really our "loyalty" towards the league might have lead and has been "rumored" that lead to WVU to leap frog us because some feel that we would not do the things the Big XII wanted us to do but WVU did.

Until further notice the University of Louisville is a proud member of the BIG EAST...and until further notice will continue to be a proud member of the league.

I was one of those 20k+ fans there and I don't recall anyone, coaches included begging us to come out on a rainy day with wind to sit and cheer on our team. All I've got to say is I hope You and Your team is ready this Year. Next year We could be off the charts when the new schools come in.
