As those in the professional world know, sometimes jobs coming looking for you rather than you go looking for the (new) job.

I believe we made too much of of what have been an unsolicited expression of interest by the NBA team.

First, you guys are up way too early for me. Posts at 4:16am and 5:46 am. I'm exhausted just thinking about that.

Second, the best thing that could happen to Murphy and the bball team is if the football goes out and makes some noise. The sooner everyone forgets about this the better for EMU. If the football team tanks it during the first 6 games...attention will gravitate towards basketball. Negativity about the poor performance on the football field and Murphy's almost departure won't be fun.

This is just an attempt for everyone to save face.

It's not the truth, but hey, they have to do SOMETHING to try to minimize future negative recruiting.
