The school has come a long way since I was there in the 80's. All those championships and now the #19 public university in U.S. News.

The Big East needs to get with whoever did that video for marketing purposes.

That was a great video. Probably one of the best I have ever seen. The video should give any UCONN fan chills. The new AD is already 10x at marketing than Hathaway.

They need to make a shrine for UCONN basketball at the new basketball center:

* 45 All Americans
* 2 Hall of fame coaches
* 54 Big East basketball titles
* 17 Final Fours
* 4 National athletic scholars of the year
* 31 First Round Picks
* 10 National titles
* Top public university of New England and #19 in the nation and rising

This is college basketball capital of the world. UCONN needs to market these stats to its fan base. If we don't define Big East, I don't know what does.

This line is what holds a lot of weight with me “#19 public university in U.S. News”. UConn is a great model for all the other Division 1 programs.

A great history is basketball, recent success in football, combined with strong academics. That combination is something UConn fans have earned the right to be proud of!

The institutions that can combine athletic and academic success are the ones I hold in the highest regard.

Georgetown and Seton Hall are the two Big East schools without dedicated practice facilities.

Georgetown announced last year it wants to build one, but no major gifts have been announced.
