I would have to know if they have arms or do they carry the ball in a pair of the legs. What's their O scheme and how many play D?

Please be more clear when asking such questions.

Well, they more like crawl. They have super speed, so my guess is the run the Wishbone.

I saw your comment about the CFL earlier. It's actually not bad football at all to be honest. It's a good way to get the football fix. Took me a while to get used to only 3 downs. I live in Edmonton.....GO ESKS!!! Looked like CRAP last week against Montreal. Up until then we've looked really good. ECU's old QB Marcus Crandell is the OC for the Eskimos, just a good reason to pull for them while I'm living up here. Games are pretty cheap too.

RE: How many of you...
I LOVE 3 down football. The CFL is basically an entirely new sport for most Americans, but once you learn the subtle rule differences, it's just football. Most of the athletes on the field are US born citizens, who played for American universities...like SBC programs.

If you have never watched a Canadian Football League game, you are missing out. It is fast, exciting, phyisical, and entertaining. I myself am a dedicated BC Lions fan. I hope more of you will give the league a chance, because if you do, I am certain you will be hooked.

Go BC!

I do admit, I love their idea of a rogue. Touchbacks are stupid.

Since my family has decided to go to internet only tv (Roku, Hulu, Amazon, Netflix) i'm completely setup to stream all football games especially espn3 in my livingroom. I love football, esp southern football, even if it is our old rival! GATA Eagles! Go Blue Raiders.

I tend to agree with you but in this case I think our athletic department did the right thing. I think the reason that they decided to play on Thursday with no TV is because historically we have drawn very well with midweek games and the fact that Saturday is Labor Day weekend which could hurt attendance.

Average salary for a CFL player is $85K. These guys are playing because they love the game. It hasn't been as tainted as the NFL or God forbid college football. It's a shame they don't get more fan support, average attendance is roughly 30K league wide I think.

Way up here in Canada they go NUTS during summertime because it's so short. There's a lot of outdoor enthusiast, festival, and concert type of distractions going on and they don't exactly promote the CFL very well either. Tailgating is also a completely foreign concept. Fans literally bus to games and there's inadequate parking lots surrounding the stadium for people to park and tailgate, very weird in comparison to the US. I honestly don't believe they even allow it, in Edmonton anyway.

BTW, BC Lions have Khaliff Mitchell an ex-ECU DLineman who I must admit I'm a bit ashamed to claim after his suspension. :muttering: 03-banghead

Yes, he is under a 2 game suspension right now, of which he has served 1. The guy is amazing, really helping make the BC defense something special. The Canadians are a bit more eager to issue suspensions than our NFL, so don't be too embarressed about his slap on the wrist, he is still a major asset to the Leos.
