How about we win some more in football before we start down that path. After all, UConn (2) has the same # of BE titles in football as us and UC (3) has one more than we do. We've been a conference dreg (thanks to HWSNBN) as much as if not more so than we've been the premier football team.
Yup & agree....Football wise the top school the past 5 years including the departed schools is Cincinnati. It nice that we are nearing the top but we have to do it again & again the next few years to make such a claim.

Waaaay to early to make that statement. Any one of UL, UC, RU, USF could win the BE easily. Don't let the fact you were voted #1 go to your head. I gaurantee you USF has as much talent, speed, and skill across the board as UL. This is USF's deepest team ever and that includes teams in the past that made forays into the top 10.

Cincinnati has won 3 of the last 4 Big East titles and won at least 10 games 4 of the last 5 years, oh and last year both basketball and football finished ranked in the top 25, but somehow UofL is the premiere school? Why because you make a ton of revenue (no other competition in town)?

No need for that right now, UL is certainly in the top tier, but so are alot of other schools right now.

Louisville, USF and Boise
Boise State is the underdog against MSU, probably by a lot by the time game rolls around. After that game we will be favored the rest of the way. ONly BYU, who got votes, and So. Miss will have a "maybe" chance. I expect a loss to the Spartans but it won't be a blowout.. Darn, if only Kellen had one more year, UNDEFEATED.
Southern Mississippi will be good this year. They will probably win CUSA this year again.

Nevada won't be a pushover either. Hawaii is a tough place to play but I think the Broncos will handle them.

Do sports sites win football games? Who should get a better program?

Lets face it, only two polls matter, the first and the last; you get ranked on either or, you get publicity etc. While non UL fans may be rooting for us to lose, it would be in the best interest for BE fans to be rooting for us considering we were the ONLY BE team to make it... Hell if I were husky, bulls, bearcat fans, id be emailing my fb coaches to lose to UL... It is in the best interest of the conference for the premier team - the only BE team to be ranked in the polls - to have a good record and obtain friendly publicity the BE so desperately needs... But hey if you want ESPN and others to kill the conference by all means root against us

Ok, Gopper is just ...nobody questions my rooting interest here they know where I stand but to say that we are the "Premier" school in the league is just dumb.
Are we the Preseason Favorite...yes. But the Top Football Program over the past 5 years is not us-(Remember Kragthorpe) but Cincinnati.
I just think it is remarkable that just 2 years after we got rid of that idiot that we are back where we belong and that is being considered one of the Top 25 Teams in the country.

SMU, Memphis, Houston and UCF need to make sure that does not happen. Boise State and Louisville might play a part if it comes down to a tie-breaker.

Did you mean that non-conf games count in regards to CUSA tiebreakers?
FYI, non-conf games do not count in CUSA Conf Standings.
Here are the divisional tiebreakers for CUSA:
Two-team or multiple team tie for divisional champion
1. Highest regular season winning percentage based on overall Conference USA play.
2. If tied, head to head between tied teams.
3. If still tied, highest winning percentage within division.
