I like these bowl predictions. If UL gets there, they'd better give it to Alabama.

One of the three not listed (Temple, UConn, Cuse) will be bowl eligible.

Connecticut will be bowl-eligible, and Pittsburgh will have a harder time than CBS suggests.

If it happens I would love a replay of the 1991 Fiesta Bowl between Louisville-Alabama...that was a very fun "Blowout" by us to the Crimson Tide. The next year Alabama went on to win the National Title but that game was our first statement game to the Nation. Louisville 34-Alabama 7.

I wouldn't mind seeing my Bearcats play Auburn, I would just rather the game be at the Liberty Bowl. I don't want to play a bowl game after some of the BCS games have already started.

The prediction is good for UL fans. However, most of these preseason stuff is worthless. We will see how this season will play out. I firmly believe BE is wide open with many even teams battling this out. Someone will emerge during the season and there is a good chance it won't be the one listed in the projection.

Beef O Brady and Liberty Bowls not mentioned. One of Temple, Cuse, and UConn shoould be available with a winning OOC record. Also if Cinn would happen to play Auburn or any decent SEC team the game will be at the Liberty Bowl where the payout is higher instead of the BBVA Compass Bowl in Alabama which has a much lower pay out.

He's still predicting no Big East team ranked in the top 25 - which is bad for the image of the Big East.

He's also predicting that the Big East won't fulfill their bowl slots, which is also bad for the conference.

UConn will be bowl eligible and play in the Pinstripe. One of Pitt, Temple, or Syracuse will be in the Beef O'Brady.

For those saying the Liberty, it is a weird alternating agreement, and I don't think the Big East gets in this year.

The Liberty agreement has the Big East as a participant to replace CUSA if the SEC doesn't have enough teams to send to the BBVA Compass Bowl, or if the SEC doesn't have enough bowl-eligible teams to send one to the Liberty. But supposedly, the Big East can go only once every 4 years.

http://www.commercialappeal.com/news/201...artner=RSS

In my opinion, this means that unless the SEC falls flat this year and can't even field 8 bowl-eligible teams, then the Big East cannot be used as a replacement in the Liberty. But we'll see.

Syracuse was excluded as well. That's a fairly safe bet though. They probably will be wrong on one team, or a 6th will be eligible.

CFN is very high on UConn (they're about the only ones who are). They've done their homework.

UConn has plenty of talent. Pasqualoni has to do better at calling plays, and the Juco transfer QB must adapt quickly. If those things happen, UConn could challenge for the championship.

And CBS says UConn won't be bowl eligible?03-lmfao

People put way too much weight on recruiting stars and rankings. Every year we are picked 6th or 7th. It is laughable. Every year we will surprise. Last year we were in a transition year with no QB. This year will be very different.

I fully expect UCONN to challenge for the BE championship. There is no one in the BE that scares me the slightest.
