PAWWWWLLL Finebaum, of course. Did anyone listen?

I didn't catch it, but I'd like to hear an archive of it. I bet that was fun, especially the part right after Aresco left.

Just the fact that a Big East commissioner went on with PAAAWWWWLL--that's amazing in and of itself.

That a-hole had a non-sec person on his show, let them speak, and had nothing negative to say??? I am tuning in now to see if they replay anything. He likely will be talking to Tammy and her drunk trailer dwelling neghbors tough. #wasteofairtime

I'll have to re-read this and investigate further.

Thanks for the Finebaum link.

That's the 3rd or 4th time Avesco's said the new Big East is:

BIGGER!

BETTER!

STRONGER!!

Love it!!! (Especially because its true!)

SEC's Godfather Finebaum interviews the Big East Commissioner?

Love the way he schmoozed the King of SEC radio by mentioning his relationship w/ the SEC Commissioner Mike Slive and then dropped in several names of Slive's immediate family; have a feeling this guy can work a room!

RE: Wait, Aresco was on PAAAWWWWLL today?
Yesterday when he was on ESPN's College Sports Aresco was already making the case about the Big East being a member of the Big Six conferences, while Joe Tessitore tried to get Aresco to agree that the Big East was not a member of the "Power Five." Aresco didn't bite and Tessitore had to wait until the interview was over to throw out a second jab that the "Power Five were clearly a cut above in college football." Aresco can clearly handle himself in the TV world, and knows how to handle the likes of Tessitore.

Btw, it's AResco. Lots of people seem to want to put a "v" in it, for some reason. A guy on the realignment forum typed it "Averesco" in the thread title. Oh well, if he can show us the money, folks will learn to spell his name right, lol.

That should definitely be the league's new motto, especially since it's absolutely the truth.

Agree...it IS the facts...and Aresco has to make sure HE DEFINES the facts about the Big East...and not allow ESPN clowns like Andy Katz and Joe Tessitore did it for him.

BIGGER!

BETTER!

STRONGER!

Boy I hate to get too excited this early in the game, but Aresco seems to be exactly what this league needed. I haven't heard a better commissioner interview maybe ever. He sold the league in terms that were easy to understand and completely realistic. He pandered to the regular audience of the show. He spoke about the importance of traveling to each member school and making sure that they felt like they were having their needs met. He clearly knows the landscape of collegiate sports and is 100% likable in delivering his message. Not only that, but he correctly see's his new assignment as a stout challenge and his confidence in being up for it just oozes. HUGE WIN for the Big East.

I second this attitude. Personality and will alone won't cut it for getting the BE's real market value, or bowl ties, but it sure as hell is a good start.

I honestly think Aresco was the absolute best hire possible for the Big East, and I'm not sure I've ever felt that way about any hire that affected any of my sports teams before.
