False. I am a live audio technician, for many corporate meetings I am required to be in a suit. However, I am also required to bring a laptop, multi-tool, and audio adapters/equipment with me, therefore a backpack is also needed.
You choose a backpack. You could choose a shoulder satchel. 
Can we at least agree that rocking a fanny pack is out of the question?

How does a backpack make me look smart? You know what makes me look smart? My paychecks and my booking calendar. The fact that I am in demand in my field. You on the other hand...well I don't like to put down NIU graduates who have failed in life.
