Seriously.

Offer him a 10 year contract equivalent to what he is making now.

Done deal.

RE: Let's steal Ben Braun from Rice
Dear holybovine,
Not a bad thought. I was thinking maybe let one of the assistants be an interim coach for this year, to try and keep everything together. See what develops, and go from there. I don't know where you would get another coach this late in the year, and wouldn't other schools consider you a poacher, if you took their coach?

i love this idea. i wonder if Braun has any interest in coming back to MI.

as for poaching a coach from another school, i'm not worried about that perception. i'm cool with promoting Mike Brown, but if Gragg thinks he can get a good coach from another school at this late stage, i say go for it.

No good coach (with any integrity) is leaving his team this late in the year. Would you really want someone who would abandon their team in late August? The best option this year is Mike Brown. Let's see if he takes the opportunity and runs with it. Remember, Ben Braun was an interim coach after Jim Boyce was fired.
