Why ? The butts in seats on game day are what counts.

I agree WRT butts in the seats; but season ticket sales usually bring in additional dollars since many require some type of "club" membership; plus, they are guaranteed dollars once purchased. So they definitely add value to the program.

Nope. They got us.

I talked to a guy from the ticket office at the Eastern Shore Event.
Last year we cleared 8.6k
This year is slightly ahead but not near 10k.
He said that we have a 3 game package that is popular but each on only counts as half a season ticket and it kept our numbers down a bit.
He said that they expect us to clear 10k in 2014 because that year will include home games vs Miss State, Navy, and Troy.
But not this year.

But the good thing he said was that the bump in ticket prices plus the slight increase in numbers resulted in substantial revenue increase for the program.
