Outstanding news. The past few weeks are the first time in a while where I have felt confident in our leadership (bizarre, considering our current lack of as leader).

No one yet, but this is very good news for us. It doesn't really matter who the commish is if you don't have quality folks working on the negotiations. These guys are like agents for the conferences. While it's nice to be able to negotiate yourself it's always better to have a professional do it with you or for you.

I wonder why he tweeted this. It's really not news. This has been out there for a while. At least one columnist mentioned it last week while discussing possIe candidates for the commissioners job. Beliviqua is supposedly a candidate....though its difficult to tell for sure as 6 candidate names have leaked out and supposedly only 5 are on the list.

End of the month.

As for hiring the consultants, that's a great move on the BE's part. A Commish needs negotiating skills, but he needs a lot of other talents, too. Let the pros handle the heavy lifting on this task, with the new commish's participation.

This is encouraging. The nBE is acting a LOT different than the BE under Tranghese and Marinatto.

My theory is that it's another attempt to put down the nBE. just look at all the responding tweets. All are negative responses. It's yet another attack salvo being lodged at the nBE. 03-phew

I think you're right, but I had forgotten about it. I'm glad the guy tweeted it. We just need to ignore the idiot comments after that. It's a GOOD thing that we're hiring these guys.

Also, nobody ever said they definitely had official names, only that they were told these were, or could be, candidates. And the last thing I read said Bevilacqua is NOT a candidate.

Isn't thats what the twitterworld is for?

A place where 8 year olds can hang out and act like jerks?

And yet when they do, some are actually surprised.

My motto: Twitter is for Twits. But I like seeing what the real journalists post. Beyond that, ugh...

Sorry my kids don't have twitter accounts. Eh perhaps I'm the only one who thinks it's a bad idea for them to use this form of media. 04-jawdrop

Eh, maybe not to everybody. There have been casual mentions in a couple of articles, but nothing that has been widely reported, or discussed. I'm a BE and Memphis die-hard, and I had forgotten about it. Of course, I'm old, lol.
