Seems to work out just fine for these guys...
JU to the SoCon would be intriguing. I don't think it will happen. The league's wheelhouse is the Carolinas, Tennessee, Georgia, and Virginia, and keeping plane trips to Florida out of the equation makes travel much cheaper for everybody. I mean, the last time the SoCon had a Florida-based team was the Gators in 1932, before the formation of the SEC. They've had ample opportunity to go out and get a couple of Florida schools and haven't done it.
If ASU and GASO leave along with C of C, I think they'll go for Kennesaw State, Coastal Carolina, and us. They get a big market, name recognition, and tradition, and they keep the public schools happy.
dude, yaknow how most peeps are on here. they want the dome bulldozed and replaced with an outdoor field where all 15,000 seats are six inches from the sidelines with no line of site issues and mandatory perfect weather every saturday
i want the dome right where it is, seats torn out over by the weight room and the weight room doubled in size. New turf down and what do ya know, that's one heck of a practice facility. Nobody in FCS would have one like it.
I'm with Fan1, I'm over taking the "that'll work" approach or "that's good enough for ETSU" mentality. That attitude is how we got here, and as a former football player, if you really were one then you should have the attitude that you want the very best facilities, equipment, coaches and athletes ETSU can get. You're willing to settle for the garbage on field product and garbage gameday experience from before. That is simply unacceptable.
