OT- MTSU FANS HELP!!
My family is making a trip to Nashville this weekend. Where are the best places to go? My family consists of my mother and 17yo sister and me. We are already going to the Grand ol opry and I'm going to try to get in mondy night to play at the blue bird. Our breakfast and dinner are covered at the hotel so we can splurge a little on lunch and activities. Any advice is greatly appreciated! Btw all of us are musicians so anything in that category takes first place! Thanks!

Gruhn Guitars on broadway by the honky tonks.

Go down music row (16th avenue) near Belmont University/Vanderbilt University.

Centennial Park on West End.

Frist Center for the Visual Arts (Art Museum)

Check out the schedule at the Station Inn and catch some good bluegrass (It's not a hotel):

Definitely go to Gruhn Guitars. If you like to see fine musical instruments, it's incredible!!! It's like a museum.

Since you're aware of the Bluebird....another similar place is called Douglas Corner. It's a bit more rough than the Bluebird, but a lot of great musicians have played there.

You might visit the Ryman Auditorium while you're downtown....it's near Gruhn Guitars.

Rotier's next to Centennial Park.

Said to be THE Cheeseburger in Paradise that Buffett wrote about, whilst in Nashville

Been there more than 50 years.

Monelle's in East Nashville (Germantown) also one of my favorites

If your by Rotiers, check out Caypso Cafe...really good Carribbean food.

Percy Warner Park is pretty cool if you can find it (drive through nature trails etc)

Rumba on West End is the best food I've ever had.

The Beer Cellar on 2nd Ave (below Hooters side entrance) is really cool. They have about 100 beers on tap.

Stay away from North Nashville though, unless your in an APC with a .50 machine gun on top.

Of course, Kajun chimes in with solid food advice.

If you or your sister like Jack White, stop by Third Man Records.

For food, try the Farmers Market. Lots of choices, personally I like B&C BBQ.
