He's got a touch of Sylvester Stallone in his voice, hah. I like this guy, sad to see one of our up and coming programs leave. Good luck in CUSA.

You guys have a great coach. I'm glad he's sticking around there for a few more years, that'll make FIU's program grow even more. I hope Garrick shows the same committment Cristobal has shown by staying there.

HC Mario Cristobal making the Miami/Ft. Lauderdale media rounds, first on TV and now on Radio.

At the moment, he is the 3rd interview down (with Joe Rose aka "The Big Dog")

560 WQAM

p.s. I thought we shared the media market with another team? Where is their Coach on Miami/FTL TV and Radio? I kid, I kid......

I was hoping there would be a story about him going to an BCS program... Thanks for getting my hopes up!

I still say he's biding his time for the Miami job to open up.

You guys won the lottery with this one. Worst program in FBS. No facilities. Nice job for sure.

Doesn't say much for our conference when the worst program in FBS goes bowling 2 years in a row and won the conference title. Great selling point for the SBC there AlaIllTex.

What some appear to have forgotten was at the time we had Randy Shannon as our #1 choice to replace Strock. That forced the U to sign Randy and we got choice B; not just according to us but also according to UM obviously.

Randy's coaching DB's at Texas Tech or something and Mario is the hottest coach in the FBS. So we're hoping he's got long term plans here at FIU.

I think he was saying FIU had the worst program and no facilities when they hired Cristabol. It was a compliment to the job he has done and not a dig. 03-banghead

I was trying to pay a compliment. Worst program in conference when Cristobal got to FIU. Worst facilities, etc. He's done well.
