As with ALL government programs...they always grow...become more expensive and less efficient. It is just the nature of government. The TSA was a massive mistake. The airlines are perfectly capable of handling their own security and actually might even be more intrusive than the TSA. The difference is that the customer would decide the level of personal liberty they are willing to give up for security...not a one size fits all governmental paradigm that cares less about the customer.
