Fast 25: The 25 Speediest Guys in College Football
This is bleacher report, but I have to say, it's all factual information based on confirmed 40 times. I know some of our teams play against these guys (we play the running back from MSU, #17 on this list) and may have trouble stopping these cats.

You are. It's Bleacher Report, so errors are expected - and leaving him out is an error. Texas State's an FBS team now, he should be in there.

this must be incomplete.
i know because every signing period you chumps get on here and claim half your recruits are running 4.3's.
i know because i made fun of you.
one fanbase has been particularly egregious in the 'unsubstantiated' 40 times

RE: Fast 25: The 25 Speediest Guys in College Football
Franks was awarded a plaque to hang in his room as being the fastest on the team. He was @ 4.39 then lowered it to 4.35. The kid ran 100m and 4x200 relays in HS and their team took States; setting a new TX HS record in the process.
He agonized over whether to run T&F after football season but finally came to terms with not being a 2 sport athlete.
His 100 time (from HS) would have qualified (provisional) him for the Olympic trials. So, the kid is no fluke.

All I know is one of our corners ran a 10.37 in high school in the 100 meters, which would not have been last place in any of today's 1st heat races. Wouldn't have been good enough to move out of the first heat, but it's still pretty strong.

i'm not saying nobody has fast players. most have a couple burners on their squad.
have you not read recruiting threads in the past amigo? we've had more 4.3ers than the sec signs. according to our posters.
i don't know who western's fastest guy is. probably one of our corners like you.

Beed I wasn't disagreeing with your premise, in fact I wholeheartedly back your premise, especially about the one school in particular, the way their fans talk, you think they could make a 4x100 relay team from their football team that would at least take bronze in London.
I think some people don't realize how stupid fast anything sub 4.4 is. I saw Dwight Dasher outrun a ton of players and I think his confirmed 40 time was like 4.56.

You gotta think though. A lot of these kids have "reported" 4.4's or 4.3's at their schools, on their rivals site, etc. But when they get to the combine, few of those reported figures live up to what they were reported to be and end up running 4.57's and 4.49's in place of their reported 4.4's and 4.32's (DuJuan Harris, reported 4.32, ran a 4.45 on proday)

that's precisely what i meant a couple years ago amigo. sub 4.4 is very rare.
but everyone being signed was listing height, weight, and oh by the way 4.3 times. we do get fast guys in the sun belt. no doubt. but 4.3 is not as common as it was being reported here.
now I'm really wondering who our fastest guy is. probably john evans but he's sitting out this year. rainey was not super fast but was shifty and had good vision.

10.38 PB in HS. As I said, he may not have made the team but would have qualified for the Trials in the provisional category.
Not good enough to make the US team by any stretch of the imagination but he hasn't run track in over 2 years. Given some college coaching I bet he would be a lot faster (in 100m terms), as your guy likely would. So, to say these aren't part of the fastest in DI is just hogwash.
PS - if Bleacher ever got anything right I'd treat but I'm safe knowing I'll hold onto my money.
