This IS Pitt - that's what outsiders may not understand about the movement. Pitt has a brand that it inexplicably ignores - script.

Here's a perfect quote to illustrate the point:

Quote:what Wannstedt said after the ’05 throwback game: “Don’t know if it’s [up to] our athletic director or our Chancellor, but we could be the Buffalo Bills of college football. The Bills didn’t want to take off their throwback uniforms. That’s what our guys were saying in [the locker room]. They want to wear ‘em.”

Steve says that 17 and 18 year old kids don't wanna wear the script. "We have a current brand that is very successfull, why would we want to go backwards?"

Acutally Mark, I was being sarcastic. Most young kids DO want the script. Steeeeeeve just says they don't. He uses that as an excuse.

Man, if the university had something to go on, like increased tv viewership and merchandise purchases to go on, it would be one thing, but they don't really. There is no reason to think they've "built a brand" with the new Block PITT.

In fact, myself and a lot of my friends go out of our way to buy knockoff stuff that has a script Pitt. It's just a better design. It fits

No biggie. I do hope the Pitt administration listens to the voice of the fans & students. But either way I'm ok with it as long as you guys NEVER wear those ugly cat-head helmets again!

The DinoCat was the worst ever!!!!!! My poor relatives had to learn the hard way to NEVER EVER buy me a gift with Pittsburgh or the DinoCat!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I actually held up a DinoCat jacket that I got for xmass once and told everyone listen up, "See this logo? Don't anyone ever ever buy me something with this sh*t on it!"
