Saw an article today where the writer urged everyone to take a Boy Scout for lunch at CFA.

I don't particularly like Chick-Fil-A, but will take my family there this Saturday, just to show that gubment should stay out of FREE ENTERPRISE.

I did too. And I am too.

And I'm a pretty strong supporter of gay rights. But my views on that issue are derived basically from a position of tolerance. And those who demand tolerance from others had better be able to extend it to those who disagree with them.

Well said. Tolerance does not mean agreement, nor does it need to. When government officials talk about "punishing" businesses for their leaders thoughts (and not their actions), be prepared for the "Thought Police" to come knocking at your door, a la '1984'.

Big Brother IS watching you!

I don't understand why a lot of people are refusing to be the bigger man here. One lives a pretty sad life when you eat at Chick Fil A to make a statement? It's good food. Eat it and enjoy yourself, but remember it's nothing to spike the ball about.

I don't like what their CEO said as I am 100% behind gay rights...but Mr Cathy doesn't run your local Chick Fil A...a local operator with local employees do...they may even have gay employees at your local Chick Fil A...I don't eat there because I don't like their chicken...but I don't have any Issue with anyone that eats/works there.

Microsoft, Apple, Google, Amazon, Boeing, Starbucks, Levis, Target, JCPenny, General Mills, etc.

^ Good luck boycotting all the companies that support gay rights.

Liberals demand tolerance of their lifestyle (regardless of what it is), but they're hostile to conservative Christians. Tolerance is apparently a one-way street.

So it's ok to have "Gay Pride" days, but it's not ok to be a proud conservative Christian?

You're a moron.

I'd say the same thing to someone who bragged about not eating chik-fil-a. It's f*cking fast food, you're not exactly lighting yourself on fire protesting either way.

They do a massive background check to make sure you feel the same way they do about many of these issues. I know this firsthand (used to work with CFA finding sites and had to work with the Operators themselves sometimes). Still, as a business they're healthy enough for this to send a message without causing major harm IMO.

I ate Chick-Fil- A too. I can't help myself. Even though I disagree with their position on a number of issues, that will not detour me from buying their wonderful product. The chicken nugget 12 piece meal with waffle fries and large ice tea will get me every single time. By far the best fast food meal in the world !!!
