I know full well I am on the right side of the spectrum fiscally, and I am quite proud of that. But considering I'm further left than you on a lot of issues, maybe rightie still isn't the right word for me. Just a thought.

When you're dangling off the far left edge of every issue, pretty much everybody looks like a right wing nut job.

If this is even an issue, our country's pride has become far too important. Dip the flag.

The opening ceremony was days ago, does anyone even know if they dipped or not?

They did not dip the flag. What I expected given the way Obama has taken a leak on the British during his administration.

Back in the last games in London in '08.. it was said that the flag carrier was shotputter Ralph Rose refused to lower the flag supposedly saying, "This flag dips for no earthly king".

However, when '36 rolled around, guess who was running Germany? Yeah, some POS named Hitler... and the US refused to dip the flag for him. It's been standard since those Games, that the flag CANNOT be dipped during the Athletes parade.

Sorry, but the US flag should _NEVER_ be dipped for anyone unless it's during a full military salute...
