RE: Did the A-Sun replace Belmont with a better Belmont?
Norse finally drop one, ETSU loses two, Belmont finally wins, Lipscomb loses...

NKU:
-Lost to Manhattan 3-2
-Beat Harvard 3-0

ETSU:
-Lost to Lamar 3-1
-Lost to Alabama 3-0

BU:
-Beat Niagara 3-0

LU:
-Lost to Arizona 3-0

A-Sun standings:
Northern Kentucky 9-1
Kennesaw State 8-3
ETSU 8-5
North Florida 4-4
FGCU 4-6
USC Upstate 2-4
Mercer 2-5
Stetson 3-9
Lipscomb 3-7
Jacksonville 1-8

IMO, NKU is still looking stronger than Belmont (2-7).

copied from Norse site:

SMITHFIELD, R.I. – The Northern Kentucky University volleyball team used wins against Holy Cross (Mass.) and Akron on Saturday to claim the championship in the Hampton Inn Invitational, hosted by Bryant University.

The Norse defeated Holy Cross, 3-0 (25-11, 25-17, 25-14), before taking a 3-1 (28-26, 25-17, 22-25, 25-19) decision against Akron. With the wins, NKU stands at 12-1 on the year entering Tuesday's Atlantic Sun Conference opener against Lipscomb.

A-Sun standings:
Northern Kentucky 12-1
Kennesaw State 10-4
North Florida 8-4
ETSU 9-5
FGCU 4-6
USC Upstate 4-6
Lipscomb 3-8
Mercer 4-6
Stetson 3-13
Jacksonville 2-11

Belmont is now 4-9.

I've been trying to find a picture of an NKU home basketball game that showed the arena during a game; and, until now, I could only find ones with the close-ups of the players in the games.

It certainly looks like a festive place to play:

Volleyball:
ETSU and NKU both lost. Compare the scores with regards to the programs that won:

Mercer 3, ETSU 0 (25-23, 25-16, 25-17)

Lipscomb 3, Northern Kentucky 2 (16-25, 25-15, 23-25, 26-24,15-13)

Belmont lost to WKU in 3 sets. Even when losing, NKU seems stronger than Belmont (and ETSU).

A-Sun standings:
Lipscomb 1-0 4-8
Kennesaw State 1-0 11-4
Mercer 1-0 5-6
Northern Kentucky 0-1 12-2
ETSU 0-1 9-6
North Florida 0-0 8-4
FGCU 0-0 4-7
USC Upstate 0-1 4-7
Stetson 0-0 3-13
Jacksonville 0-0 2-11

Yes, Sixties, Northern Kentucky is a better Belmont. As soon as they transition to Division I, they'll be gone. The real contest here for Buc fans is which school will leave first, ETSU or NKU. My money, unfortunately, right now is on NKU.

If Georgia Southern jumps, I'd say Jacksonville will leave before any of us.

ETSU is going nowhere with an incompetent professor as their AD. you are right, I did not say tennis coach - no coach in any sport would lead the way he does! ETSU's AD/English professor would be better at running the motor pool even though he can't change oil or rotate tires!!
