This team has me intrigued. It all comes down to the first game of the season for the Pirates. We could easily be 8-4 or 4-8. We take care of business against App State and I think we win at least 1of 3 between UNC/USC/SMiss. If we take 2 of 3 from those three schools and one of the 4 QBs establishes himself as the "man", then a 10 win season is within reach. Go Pirates.

Here is another one from our paper..

It was a honeymoon kind of start to Ruffin McNeill's career as East Carolina's head football coach. After dusting away Marshall, 37-10, his Pirates sat 5-2 overall and 4-0 in Conference USA, making the Greenville, N.C., faithful almost forget about Skip Holtz, the highly successful ECU head man for five years (2005-09) until he left for South Florida.
