Hey, I got a better idea. Lets hand out the bullets. Hold the bullets back and give them to only those who can handle it. No hand gun bullets, only to shot guns bullets or riffle bullets for recreation. The bullet would be marked and if it is used improperly, that person would not be getting any more bullets. I've looked over and over in the constitution, I don't see where it says, "you have a right to bullets". I know, then we would have a huge black market. Use a black market bullet, go to jail immediately.

No one would support legislation like that, they would be voted out of office immediately.

You'd fill the prisons with non-violent offenders, and let the murderers, robbers and rapists out early.

The right to bear arms includes bullets. It's a right to bear arms, not restricted to guns. So your constitutional argument fails, even tongue in cheek.
