When he was leaving his term as Massachussetts Governor, he had the state spend a $100,000 to get all new computers (which also required the state to break a lease and pay a penalty), so his aides could then buy the old hard drives from the state, destroying any evidence therein. He then had all of the emails wiped and claimed that paper records of his time as governor are exempt from disclosure to the public. He also isn't releasing records from his time running the Olympics (they're in some Mormon library mountain vault in Utah) or records from his time at Bain (that aren't already filed with the SEC) or tax returns from before 2010.
