I've never understood the fascination/admiration with the big red blob as far as a mascot goes. I just don't get it, having said that, I will give credit where credit is due(which is easier said than done when WKU is the topic) WKU does the best job with their mascot. If we're just lining up still photographs of the mascot in costume WKU is bottom third, if we're actually watching the mascots in action, they're tough to beat and the true test is that this is always the case. They have a well established mascot program with high standards. At a lot of schools, the quality of mascot performance fluctuates from one year to the next depending on who the student is and some just aren't up to snuff, never seems to be the case at WKU

First, I see no need to call us anything other then UNT, NT, North Texas, or Mean Green. I have not referred to Texas State as anything other then their name on this board.

Second, UNT has a few Scrappy costumes. I thought this was common among schools.

Third, I can and will post anywhere I wish to. Texas State has yet to play one down in the Sun Belt. If someone needs to post on another board, I think it is you.

FAU's Mascot through the years....

Out of all those FAU ones, I like the 2nd one the most. Big Bad Burly Bird was the best.

That first one is the most vomit inducing thing I have ever seen. Third was ok, and the 4th is just behind number 2.

None of them or great, but ASU and USA has the best of this bunch.
