Guys, there's WKU and then there's everyone else.

You don't have to know what it's supposed to be.

Here's what it is: The mascot everyone in this league wishes they had.

Not the blob so much.

But it's recognizable on a national scale. It is universally beloved by WKU fans. Little kids want to hug it and have their picture taken with it.

Does YOUR school make money renting out your mascot for birthday parties and the like?

We can make fun if it all we want to (I always call it the blood clot.)
But WKU has it SPOT ON when it comes to what a mascot is supposed to be.

There is no second place.

Ok, what is the mt mascot suppose to be? Really don't know where the Blue Raider comes from. Our pepper mascot is based on our historical ties to spicy food and Tabasco. Lots of people would like to see Cajun Field at Tabasco stadium in a naming rights agreement. Please enlighten me.

Not going to delve into the meaning of the red blob (dot) at WKU. As my son would say, it is some random act of art from a severely drunken student many years ago. That said the blob (dot) gets my vote. It represents true college mentality.

There's a difference between 'mascot' and 'spirit character'. I think some of you guys are mixing up the two.
