We don't suffer from an insufficient number of laws .... one of our biggest problems is that we have too many laws on the books right now.

How's about we stop expecting the executive branch to write the laws for the legislative branch first? The President's job is to be the enforcer, not write the budget and crap like it.

The problem is that we have two different views on what is good for America. One view says we should be more like Sweden, France, and Greece. The other says we should have a bare minimum amount of government (as the Founding Fathers intended). The two views are incompatible, hence the perpetual fighting and gridlock.

There iis a higher chance the Dems lose the senate than the Reps lose the house this election.

Well, You have Two Major Corporations competing for Your Tax Dollars both under the Names Republican Party and Democrat Party. Neither wants to give credit for anything that helps the other look good. I favor the Right, but have been disappointed in the Past, but the alternative disappoints Me even More.

while i disagree with a lot of what this president has done, to blame him for a lot of what has gone on is stupid and it shows a lack of how the federal government works. the president proposes. congress disposes. nothing gets done unless both houses of congress agree on a bill, and there haven't been too many of those since 2010. the legislature was designed to be the strongest body in our federal government. the president just enforces the law. he can issue executive orders that have the same effect as law, but other than the power of veto he can't do much.

ps. if people don't want the same party controlling the executive and legislative branches, i'm guessing those same people hated 2002-2006.
