So do I, but unfortunately they won't. There's always too much talent there for that to happen.

Good point on there about why CAA bans leaving teams from the postseason.

Very disrespectual to the conference that nurtured UNT from I-AA to now.

Boy, you all get upset at next to nothing. UNT by the way was a fb division school before entry into the Belt.

Doesn't have the logo on there, but it does say we won the league in 2007 and 2010.

While they've always been a pretty good team year in and year out, they haven't exactly set the Sun Belt on fire in their time in the league, although I think they've won the tournament more than we have. I still hate to see them leaving the Belt.

They have a nice program. And some loyal fans. I'm sorry the Sun Belt is losing them, but I wish them well in their new league.

All griping aside, I am sorry to see them go. We had some good games with them.

I will miss theirfans. They had spirit and traveled well to hot springs.

I don't care what put on stuff to their fan base. I am happy for them with the move to cusa.

This is like the employee that gets a better job. You going to be mad about someone finding a better job to provide for their family?

Cusa football is better than sbc football and they are a football school. Best wishes and hope we can play in the future.

I don't have a problem with them moving to a better situation or league. I wish we were moving on up, to the east side, to a delux league in the sky, but I don't appreciate someone who is going to hang around another year to thumb their nose at the Sun Belt while they play out their last year in the league.

As far as them being a football school, well, they haven't had much of a football program for a while have they? Maybe they think of themselves as a football school, like our friends at ASU who have been claiming to be a football school for several years before last season. And with Gus Malzahn at the helm, I expect that they will be a football school soon.

Can we ban them from the Sun Belt tourney or is it too late for that? It would be a "crime" to let them use the Belt to get to the NCAA tournament this year. Maybe a good move for them, but there should be consequences for the decisions you make.

I don't agree. I wouldn't want the Trojans excluded from the tournament if they were changing conferences. Most schools would like to be in a better conference if they got the chance. I just don't like to see a team that is leaving, try to rub it in the faces of those who are staying.

They won't finish last. Their future CUSA conference mate, Florida International Univ, will probably be the worst D1 basketball program in the nation next year. I don't see UNT running the table either. They'll compete for the championship, sure. And then they'll go off with the worst team in nation to join a basketball conferencem that while better than the Sun Belt, is dramatically reduced with the departure of the only prominent program. CUSA has had exactly with two at large bids in the last five years (The Sun Belt has one at large bid).

Yes, you ought to ban an University that has been a very good member of the Belt for eleven years because there has to be consequences for their action. Really makes sense particularly considering any school will move if it betters their circumstances.
By the way if NT actually makes a run in the NCAA tournament, I am sure the Belt members will turn down the money that accrues to the conference and send it to NT because you can't kept funds that were part of a crime.

Personally I don't like the deal. Any team that plays as a member of a conference in a given year should be allowed to play in the conference tournament. Where they go the following year is irrelevant. The young men playing have nothing to do with the school leaving the league. Sorry. Bad rule. If they want to charge the school money if they leave that's one thing. But to punish the kids is not right.
