Confidence breeds confidence. I like it when upper classmen come out publicly with statements like Will made. When you are in that positioin you have to thrive on pressure. Will just raised the expectations and the pressure. Like it.

Most everyone said Cassius Clay was nuts when he predicted that he'd beat Sonny Liston and that Joe Namath was crazy when he guaranteed the win over the Baltimore colts in Super Bowl III. Doc, Dollar Bill, and I may be the only ones old enough to remember when those two sports events happened. Let's hope he's Will is right. If his boldness is coming from confidence, you can't have too much confidence.

I not only remember those two events, but I saw both live, but not in person. The Clay-Liston fight on closed circuit at Robinson Auditorium, and Joe Namath's guaranteed win on television.

If Will is 100% healthy, I like his prediction a lot more.

Our guys have not had, nor the fans, any swagger to them since I have been a season ticket holder. Not saying we need be like a lot fans that post on message boards, but i would like to feel like we were going to win when we step out on the court.

I don't remember thinking we were a sure thing at any time, even the 23 win team.

Now, i will say i felt like solo was going to will us to the ncaa tournament after we won the 1st sbc tournament game. I don't know why but he just looked like he was going to do it and marlo and leaper were playing great together at that point.

I don't know if this team has a fowler or solo or harden or graber that can just will things to happen but WN can be that guy. That unbreakable force that just wills you to victory. It takes more than one guy but it takes that one guy to show the others the way.

You have to have a go to offensive guy to win in the tournament. I have no idea who the take charge guy will be for this team. Might be a freshman.
