With the Giants on the verge of tying and breaking all time MLB records with 4 consecutive shut outs in a row (3 over the Dodgers and one over the Reds last night) the Reds put an end to that with a lead off home run by rookie Zach Cozart. The flood gates open with a 5-1 win. Mike Leake went the distance and has pitched very well in his last 4 appearences. Did I say that I'm a true Giants hater? I hate the Giants. On a more positive note for Reds fans, when is Dusty Baker going to use Mike Leake as a pinch hitter. Perfect scenario. The guy played full time at Arizona State when he was not pitching. Accomplished hitter as he has shown for three years. He is hitting better than many of the current pinch hitters. He would only be used in the pinch hitting role when he was not pitching or not available to pitch. Common sense must prevail.
