I'm guessing it's not . . . but, is this anything? Is this another indication of a forthcoming SoCon shake-up?

Nothing to see here, just a couple of schools looking for a conference to field a smaller sport. I would be very surprised if this led to Elon and Furman joining the A-Sun unless the SoCon totally comes apart in the next two years.

Elon and Furman would get into the Big South first. I'm certain they'd love to have more Carolina based schools. Hell, the whole conference is essentially North and South Carolina except Stony Brook in football, Radford, Liberty and VMI.
