RE: Big East BBall 2012-13 OOC schedule
The Aztecs are still looking for 2 OOC games.
I think there is a good chance that one of those will be with a Big East team. (Could be wrong, but I think that is it)

Right here. Did you see last seasons schedule? The season before that? Duke just pulled out on us so we're working on one or two midsession big name OOC games like we had with duke and UCLA the last two seasons. Hell we've been playing duke every year since the mid 90s. They just pulled out last minute on us. We still have shown to schedule better than you guys even if you have one year with a tougher OOC. Last year alone we had UK, Duke, Arizona, UCLA, Texas A&M

If that is truly the full schedule out of conference, that is beyond horrible. That will easily be a 300+ SOS out of league.

That would be good. As it stands currently, you likely have no games against NCAA at-large teams. A few could win an auto-bid this coming season.

Well we could play Baylor in that tourny but it's super weak.

I thought St. Johns had a shot to make the tournament, but with that OOC you are going to have to win all the big games in the Big East to even have a shot.

SJU better win 12 BE games....and make a run in the BE tourney. Otherwise, they will once again be sitting home while teams like UC, UofL, Marquette, etc carry the load and the BE banner in the ncaa tourney.

Cincinnati
Nov 9, 10, or 11 TBA
Nov 18 vs North Carolina A&T
Nov 20 vs Campbell
Nov 23 Iowa State (Las Vegas)
Nov 24 UNLV or Oregon (Las Vegas)
Dec 1 vs Alabama

Dec 19 Xavier (US Bank Arena)
Dec 27 vs New Mexico
This isn't a top 50 OOC SOS. No way you can lean on this and go .500 in league play. You'll be sweating on the bubble. Hence you'll need 10-12 conference wins to guarantee a spot in the field. How does this show a lack of knowledge or trolling? To me you're showing you're a blind homer.

Yea, it probably is a top 50 OOC schedule, depending on what certain teams do this year. Both Marshall & Iowa St were top 50 rpi teams last year. There could be 6 top 50 rpi teams on that schedule. RPI-wise, its pretty good. Name-wise, not so much.

Explain to me how playing 5 (potentially 6 with UNLV) top 50 RPI teams indicates a weak OOC? If UC were to win 3 of those 6 games, they'd have 3 quality OOC wins, couple that with a 9-9 record and Cincinnati is probably solidly in. Not sure if you are hung up on the names of the teams or if you are really just that stupid.

Iowa St and Marshall could easily backslide. Though the Big XII is getting easier this season with the loses of Mizz and A&M. WVU is good but TCU stinks. That could keep ISU out of the top 50 RPI. Two less games against quality opponents.
If it's top 50 then its a border top 50 and thats if things go their way. They need to hope that they get UNLV in that tourny and not Oregon. If ISU is for real this year and beats them they have the loss and no game against UNLV.
