You are exposing your lack of knowledge with each ensuing post. Either that or you are just a terrible troll.

Cincinnati
Nov 9, 10, or 11 TBA
Nov 18 vs North Carolina A&T
Nov 20 vs Campbell
Nov 23 Iowa State (Las Vegas)
Nov 24 UNLV or Oregon (Las Vegas)
Dec 1 vs Alabama
Dec 8 vs Maryland-Eastern Shore
Dec 15 at Marshall
Dec 19 Xavier (US Bank Arena)
Dec 27 vs New Mexico

This isn't a top 50 OOC SOS. No way you can lean on this and go .500 in league play. You'll be sweating on the bubble. Hence you'll need 10-12 conference wins to guarantee a spot in the field. How does this show a lack of knowledge or trolling? To me you're showing you're a blind homer.

Yea, it probably is a top 50 OOC schedule, depending on what certain teams do this year. Both Marshall & Iowa St were top 50 rpi teams last year. There could be 6 top 50 rpi teams on that schedule. RPI-wise, its pretty good. Name-wise, not so much.

Iowa St and Marshall could easily backslide. Though the Big XII is getting easier this season with the loses of Mizz and A&M. WVU is good but TCU stinks. That could keep ISU out of the top 50 RPI. Two less games against quality opponents.

If it's top 50 then its a border top 50 and thats if things go their way. They need to hope that they get UNLV in that tourny and not Oregon. If ISU is for real this year and beats them they have the loss and no game against UNLV.

Well obviously if teams don't live up to expectations any schedule can look weak. I think Jon Rothstein tweeted that Cincinnati will play 12 games against top 50 RPI teams from a year ago.

Last year we had UK, Duke, UCLA, Arizona and A&M on our OOC and we had a SOS of 43. Thats also including Horizon league champs Detroit.

RE: Big East BBall 2012-13 OOC schedule
That is a tough schedule for Cincinnati. With the traditional guantlet of the Big East schedule that is more than enough to get an at-large should they finish top 8 in the Big East which I think they will do with they caliber of play they displayed last March.

UNLV/Oregon is a solid game. Iowa State is solid, Alabama, New Mexico, Xavier, Marshall all solid teams that should be top 100.
Except for 3 projected 250 and above rpi(cambell, MD-shore, NC A&T) that every teams has on their schedule its a solid slate. Miami-Oh usually is on UC schedule and perhaps Dayton. Even in down years they are respectable in rpi with the schedules they put together. When looking at RPI you look at the team, conference they play in and the schedule the opponnets play non-conference. The difficulty of the Big East schedule should be more than enough to get the top eight into the dance. You don't have to play Duke and North Carolina to get a good rpi and SOS.

Hoyas with another solid OOC. Brutal way to open things up though.

Playing cupcake only schedules is not the Temple way and would go against everything John Chaney stood for. I dont think there's any chance we do much more than replacing a Syracuse with a school like Virginia, Maryland, Northwestern, or a top 3 A10 team. Obviously, Nova is now in conference, so we'd replace that with an equally competitive game.

Neither is Alanama, that's why I wasn't offended when he said I wasn't very bright.

New Mexico is NOT preseason top 25.

You are correct, however they are in the "on the cusp category": Cincinnati, UNLV, Pittsburgh, Alabama, UCLA, Florida State, Stanford, Saint Louis, Marquette, Maryland, New Mexico, Butler, Saint Mary's, Xavier, Nevada.

ESPN Preseason Poll

And here: Also considered (in no particular order): UCLA, Texas, UNLV, Tennessee, Alabama, Florida State, Stanford, Colorado, Marquette, Ohio, Saint Mary’s, New Mexico, Xavier, Cincinnati.

NBC Sports Poll

So essentially Cincinnati will play 4 teams that are either going to be in the top 25 or on the verge (Alabama, Xavier, UNLV and New Mexico) and another in Iowa State that is expected to make the NCAA tournament (ESPN Preseason Bracketology) and another in Marshall that should be competitive for a post season birth, but somehow they don't have a good OOC? So yeah that St. Johns fan isn't so bright. In fact, he is an idiot.

Says the guy bragging about having New Mexico, Marshall, Alabama, Iowa St on his OOC schedule. Seriously, does that sched excit you? If so it just proves my point about Cincys poor scheduling philosophy.

Never did I say the schedule excited me, what does excite me is the fact that now that UC will have a good OOC SOS. The last two years Cincinnati has been a #6 seed, with this better schedule they'd been a 3 or 4 this past season and probably a 4 or 5 the previous year. Also btw, nice schedule you got there, is there a single game worth watching for the Jonnies?

One single year you have a better OOC, and it's not even that great of an OOC.
