I might be going to see how ODU plays. I hope you all destroy cocky Madison College rofl. I was at the MU JMU soccer game Sunday and some of their fans said MU Football sucks (idk why this was a soccer not football game) so I said don't talk until you win 2 National Championships haha.

Yeah, got mine today in my e-mail. Section 6 . . . old school!

So, what are the chances of SNOW in Harrisonburg, in mid-November?

I got 20 tickets in Section 7 this morning. That also came with four parking passes and a JMU hat. I'm not sure where said parking passes are but that is pretty sweet. No idea what I'm going to do with the hat.

Write "Sucks!" inside it and give it away super friendly-like at the game. Little do they know.... /sinister laugh/

Or ODU's student government has done trade ins for stuff from other schools.

You could use it to pickup after your dog craps in the grass a few weeks before the game... then when Mickey Mathews throws his hat, or coat, as he is want to do, you can throw your $#itty JMU hat at the bench.

my only question is - how the heck are there so mnay tickets still available??? I thought JMU tells everyone that they ALWAYS sell out.

You know, JMU nation and all that garbage.

Our tickets would be LONG sold out for this game by now. In fact - tickets never would have even gotten to the general public.

I'm guessing their games that do sell out do so the week leading up to the game. They've got roughly 5K more seats than we do but even with that, you're right we'd have this and all the other games sold out. I think the main difference is not many alumni stay in H'Burg after graduation so it's a trip for them to come to home games where as the Tidewater area has alot of ODU alumni. And the local non-alumni that are interested in football in Norfolk is greater than H'Burg just by population size.

So in other words, markets do matter...what a novel concept. Too bad the rocks from the Flying-J can't understand that!

shiny new stadium and can't even fill it one year after it was built.

...and they think they should be a prime candidate for a better conference. hah!

Exactly, but beyond that a market that is invested in the school. I haven't lived in the area for many years now but from what I can tell the whole community is really behind the program which is huge. Atlanta is much bigger than Norfolk but GSU doesnt' seem to get a lot of attention.

Atlanta doesn't have a great history of supporting sports teams anyway but they also have Georgia Tech in town too. Plus the Falcons.

I'll be there, courtesy of JMU Hospitality. Can't wait to keep our record unblemished against them for the foreseeable future.
