There's some misinformation going on about Middle Tennessee. I'm not going to jump through the hoops to sign up over there since I only have free e-mail accounts, but I digress...

There's talk of our "guaranteed admissions policy". Currently an incoming freshman is guaranteed entrance if they have either a 3.0 GPA or a 22 ACT or combination of at least 2.7 and 19. For a large public university those numbers aren't too bad, and they're likely going up.

Furthermore the average ACT score of our incoming freshmen is 22.9, which at least according to one thread I've seen, is higher than it is at ECU.

Additionally there was a post about us "hurting the C-USA brand" we've had the best overall athletic department in the Sun Belt since we joined(better than North Texas and much better than FIU). Of the 12 all sports trophies awarded since we joined the conference, we've won 8, including the last four consecutive. We've also had pretty similar numbers to ECU in the National Director's Cup standings, finishing just ahead of ECU 3 out of the last 5 years.

I realize that posting this here may not accomplish anything, but as I said, I'm not jumping through the hoops over there, and didn't want to post this on the C-USA board because I don't want to be seen as "pimping" my school over there when I was really just commenting on a few comments by a couple of ECU fans on another board.

Realistically ECU is probably the C-USA school I'd be most excited about being associated with, so I just don't like seeing ECU fans badmouthing Middle Tennessee, especially when the information is inaccurate or at least misleading.

I would be fine with MTSU being part of CUSA. I think CUSA ends up pulling MTSU, Delaware, FAU, and either Arkansas St/West Kentucky eventually.

I've got no problems with MTSU. Huge step upwards from Memphis in football.
