Way OT: Zombie Apocalypse
In light of recent events and because of a current Facebook thing going around, I thought it would be fun to see if you could have 5 people real or make believe to have with you during the zombie apocalypse who would they be? Here is mine in no order:
1. Walker Texas Ranger
2. John Mclane
3. Legolis from Lord of the Rings
4. Gen. George Patton
5. "Survivor Man" Les Stroud

And people read this forum. It's not as active as CUSAbbs but it's not like it's a graveyard.

It was a close call but he barely missed the cut, I think Legolis more then makes up for it.

FWIW, having to sit through Zombieland killed any inkling I'd have to mess with anything Zombie related...that movie sucked a fat one.

Minus the Bill Murry cameo I would have to agree. I do stunts for movies and a few years back I did a zombie comedy and I had to sit through fours hours of makeup a day to look like a zombie, if it ever came down to it I could blend in I think.

If zombies are dead, how can they have a sense of smell, Doc? Dead men don't breathe...

I think Legolas is a good pick. I think I would rather be a zombie than eat the things Les Stroud eats. Arnold would be OK as long as he never said anything. I might pick Sean Connery; he has rarely died over the years. Definitely need somebody I can out run, so Zach Galifianakis could provide some humor for as long as he lasted.

1. Supergirl
2. Gina Carano
3. Stacy Keibler
4. Alex Morgan
5. Rambo

I'm stacking the odds in my favor. 5 athletes, 4 females, 1 ultimate soldier. And since this can be fictional people, I think I'll live with my band of survivors.

I've always understood them to be reanimated bodies, so there's something controlling them (viral or bacterial), which I would assume has the ability to sense, whether thats smell or not.

This has never been stipulated, and I get the sense that you're reaching...

Of course, I now have the feeling people are going to try to rewrite things to fill in this essential gap in the knowledge base on zombies too...

They're zombies, how they were created and how they function is completely up to the author of any specific work. In S.G. Browne's "Breathers" the zombies could think and talk. It was basically a zombie romantic comedy and a lot of what he wrote goes against more commonly accept zombie norms, but it's fiction, he wrote it that way, and the book was funny...no...the book was hilarious.

I liked Reg Shoe in Terry Pratchett's Discworld novels. He was the first zombie detective hired by the Ankh-Morpork City Watch...

If the Avengers can stop Aliens, they will kick the crap out of Zombies. Black Widow won't be there to fight as much as she can be my 'personl' bodyguard
