Big 12 in postseason baseball
NCAA baseball tournament starts this week and there are a few Big 12 teams in the field (not counting those heading to the SEC).

Baylor is a 1 seed hosting with 2 seed DBU, 3 seed UTA, and 4 seed Oral Roberts in their regional.

Oklahoma is a 2 seed playing in the Charlottesville regional with UVA as the 1 seed, App State as the 3 seed, and Army as the 4 seed.

Incoming Big 12 member TCU is a 2 seed in the College Station regional with TAMU as the 1 seed, Ole Miss as the 3 seed, and Dayton as the 4 seed.

I predict that Baylor will advance out of their regional into the super regional, I don't see TCU or Oklahoma advancing. Both teams have been too inconsistent this year IMO. Plus TCU lost Jason Coats one of the team leaders to a season ending knee injury.

RE: Big 12 in postseason baseball
TCU lost their first game against Ole Miss on Friday, but has now won three in a row against Dayton, Texas A&M, and Ole Miss to face a single game final tomorrow to advance to the supers. Frogs offense has really woken up in the regional scoring 28 against Dayton yesterday and 10 against Texas A&M in the first game today.

TCU started 5 freshman fielders and a freshman pitcher in the 2nd game today, the future looks bright for TCU baseball.

TCU, Oklahoma, and Baylor all fight back through their regional loser brackets to advance to the super regional. Frogs travel to UCLA and Sooners to South Carolina. Baylor will host Arkansas in Waco in their super regional.

I didn't expect TCU to advance this weekend, it was a pleasant surprise.

Yeah, we'll get one. I'm sure Luck will make a good hire that will pull our program up.

Congrats to TCU, OU, and Baylor for advancing.

WVU has reportedly hired TCU associate head coach Randy Mazey. Can you Frogs give us a scouting report?

Despite outhitting UCLA, TCU drops game 1 of the LA Super Regional 6-2. Frogs had a really bad inning in which UCLA scored 5 runs.

Are you sure it wasn't UCLA going on a tear instead? That's what it looked like...

Considering that TCU allowed UCLA to load the bases without UCLA even putting a ball in play, I would say that TCU had a bad inning. A four pitch walk and two hit batters with no outs isn't exactly the way to start off a inning.

UCLA obviously took advantage of the situation, but it isn't like they were just pounding the ball.

Frogs drop game 2 to UCLA, with the Bruins advancing to the CWS. Oklahoma lost game 1 at South Carolona 5-0, and Baylor won their first game at home vs Arkansas by a score of 8-1.

Best of luck to Baylor and Oklahoma today, if Baylor makes the CWS that is just icing on the cake for a already banner sports year for that athletic department.

Yes, it was a pretty good season for the Frogs. I would say that the team overachieved some. UCLA has very good pitching and if you have that, then a lot of other things just fall into place. Congrats to the Bruins on their victory and best of luck in Omaha.

we
Given the injuries this team dealt with and the number of true freshman that had to step up to play major roles, I think this season was one of the best coaching jobs on Schloss' career.

We set up very well to make a Big 12 title run next year, especially if a few of the drafted guys return. I expect Elander and KVT to leave, but hopefully we get back the three pitchers with eligibility left who were drafted in rounds 20+.
