As someone who works for one of the companies on Romney's list, I'm not sure I like what we're buying with that money...

It's not a perfect thought process, but man I feel a bit disgusted to see government employees using tax dollars via their salary to support candidate.

Why is the US Postal Service donating money to anybody? They're broke!

It is USPS workers donating the money. But they're required to report their employer ... and that's how you get the USPS total.

Thanks, was hoping it wasn't the USPS itself. I'm not extremely knowledgable on political donations.

Romney will win the election. Wall Street picks the winner. They're the kingmaker. They picked Bush and then Obama. Now they've picked Romney. Think this sounds crazy, just check out who got the most money from Wall Street the last couple elections.

If any of the big companies believed Paul had a shot at the nomination or beating Obama, they'd have given him money. They wanted to beat Obama, they backed who they thought can do that.

If that'd been Paul, your list would have had the same guys up top Romney does.

Nope, they would have given money to the candidate most likely to give them another bailout, comply with their lobbyists, and fill his cabinet with their buddies to gain preferential treatment. In a theoretical matchup between Obama and Paul, that candidate clearly isn't Paul.

GTS - what is your source for the info? Link? It's not that I don't believe the info - just wanted to peruse it.

This is pretty interesting considering that the big O got most of his biggest donations last time from Wall Street. Wonder how that works (wink and a nod) that he had one hand out for $$ and at the same time was bashing Wall Street fat cats that were funding his campaign. I also wonder now, seeing that list, if Wall St. has soured on Obama or if it is a conscious decision to not seek the Wall St. funds.

That road is too far and is fraught with danger. We need to run.

Wait. I thought all of Obama's money was in 20 dollar donations from "regular" Americans? That's what Maxi said.

To be fair ... 44% of Obama's money is from small donors. The same percentage as Ron Paul. To also be fair, the overwhelming majority of Obama's money comes from big time lobbying groups and the ultra-liberal .edu enclave of tenured liberal arts la la land.
