The championship game is going to be played Sunday @ 1:00 (central)

ULM will be playing either ASU, Troy, or MT depending on the results of today's games

If Troy beats MT today, then they will play ULM

If Troy loses to MT and ASU beats FIU, then ASU will play ULM

If Troy loses to MT and ASU loses to FIU, then MT will play ULM

In addition to growing all kinds of facial hair, the ULM team has another superstition:

The Warhawks ate breakfast and practiced at Western Kentucky on Friday, and when they came back to the hotel Freddie the Frog was gone.

Freshman Justin Stawychny found the frog in the dugout at Louisiana-Lafayette during ULM's first win against the Ragin' Cajuns.

The team hasn't lost since.

Stawychny carried the frog to Bowling Green in a box with water, but the hotel maid threw the box away, thinking it was trash while cleaning the room.

"We ran through the halls trying to find it," senior second baseman Caleb Clowers said. "We finally found it in a trash can."

Freddie was safe and sound and will be back in the dugout with the Warhawks when they play Western Kentucky in the final game of pool play Saturday night at 7 p.m.

Good thing the maid was from Kentucky.

If she were Cajun, she's have pulled the legs off and fried em up!!

Good luck on Sunday.

I really don't care for this pool play format. I'd much rather perfer double elimination. It doesn't make sense that teams are playing after being eliminated.

What everyone doesn't understand about the tournament format is that it is not for the teams that are still playing in the SBC Tournament, it is for the team or teams that move on to represent the Sun Belt in the best way possible and that is with the freshest pitching staffs possible.

Just look back to the last double-elimination tournament and what FIU did with its pitching staff to win that tournament.

Did Troy, MT, and stAte all go 2-1?

If so , how was the tie broken? Seed?

Yep..lowest seed advances. Finally the regular season meant something.

Well that makes sense. Baseball is a grind. Tough to do a tournament that rewards the most deserving.
