Charter member of the Eta Psi Chapter of Theta Chi Fraternity at UAB. The chapter is currently having to re-colonize/re-install due to number issues. They(we) are now back up to 43 members and growing. Word has it that ATO is coming back on campus after similar issues.

Brother was TKE @ Marshall in 1999

And PIKA @ ECU never had a house to lose fwiw: and boo on you on painting over AOPi's basement

Pi Kappa Phi -Delta Iota- Founding father for recolonization in 2003.

Greek life at Middle Tennessee was average at best when I was there and has fallen on harder times. The grossly overpriced and poorly built houses on campus(circa 1999) have all pretty much been vacated by the fraternities, I think of the eight houses, maybe three are still occupied by fraternities and one of those is on it's third different chapter to live in it. It's a real shame, because like most campuses, when greek life was good, it was good for the school.

RE: Greek Life
I went up to MTSU back in February of 2009 with some of our guys to help the TKE chapter up there with a rush event. Unfortunately it snowed heavily and no one showed up. They had a pretty nice house too, wasn't on campus but was still nice. Talked to one of their alums in August and he said it looked like the chapter was going to shut down. Truly a shame. I agree that good greek life is good for a school. I don't know if I'll ever see the day that UAB has greek housing. I wish we had it when I was in school. We just rented different houses near campus each year.

Cheers indeed frater, one of your alums came by our tailgate back in 2008 before the UAB-Memphis football game. The brother of one of my best friends from my chapter plays soccer at Marshall.

So who here has pledged? Any stories to share? The more embarrassing and/or disgusting, the better COGS

Alpha Sigma Phi here. Remember driving up to GVille and stealing the ECU chapters charter. Pissed them off pretty good but it was all in fun. We gave it back but I think that chapter folded? Last I heard maybe it was trying to get reinstated on campus.
