RE: ETSU in the news AGAIN!
Wait a minute, you're going off on "Yankees" in one minute then lecturing me on regional bias the next?

And then you wonder why I call you stupid.

I didn't bring the word "Yankee" up, you did. I just pointed out you used it incorrectly. I never called you a Yankee, most of the stuff that comes to mind when I think of you I couldn't type here or fan1 would have to ban me, it has nothing to do with where you are from. I don't dislike you because you are from Pittsburgh, I dislike you because of the character or lack there of you have shown on this board. You could be from anywhere but you would still be an outsider who shows frequent open disdain for the this region. That is my one of my biggest problems with you.

RE: ETSU in the news AGAIN!
And here's the thing.

You make a mistake like the year of graduation. I'm willing to go back a bit and say that it's relatively small. I can let you off the hook for that, I really can.

But the thing is, you try to run me down for 28 versus 27 victories- an irrelevancy compounded by the fact you're actually agreeing with the previous points I made. So you're actually trying to undermine your own point when you do that.

I have tried to bury the hatchet with you on numerous occassions. I remember saying after you made a comment about the Original Hot Dog Shop that I was going to bury the hatchet with you- and then you kept right on insulting.

I offered to buy you a round of golf for the BFFF Tournament. You could have said "I'm sorry, I don't play golf, but I'll go to the banquet with you" or even "Thank you for your kind offer."

No, you actually attacked me for an offer of charity!

And you wonder why I don't like the people here.

Hell, we hate ETSU administration as much as anyone and realize how detrimental it is- perhaps more than any other two posters. But instead of backing me up, you gotta be insulting. It ain't me who is setting back the movement- it's you.

Some Christian you turned out to be.

RE: ETSU in the news AGAIN!
Before you jump on the outsider comment, yeah you did live here off and on for several years. But you are an outsider still because you choose to be. You still think of yourself from "there" and which is much better then "here" and you hate it here and are so glad you left. That kind of attitude, non wonder the locals never embraced you, you obviously never really wanted to fit in, you would rather retain some misguided and false sense of superiorty. It is easy, you don't like us, our region or or culture, and make that abudantly clear every chance you get, any big surprise to you we return those feelings?

RE: ETSU in the news AGAIN!
Stop with the insults to East Tennessee (not honest, objective criticisms) but the 2 front teeth married to his sister stuff and I won't have any reason to be pissed off and attack you. You occasionally make a good point but
have to add all the extraneous stuff that dilutes your agruments. Stay on target>> pretend you are shooting a pistol at the bulleyes, not a shotgun that shreds it and everything else around it.

RE: ETSU in the news AGAIN!
I'm not going to embrace the most backwater people in the country. Sorry.

And I didn't have that attitude upon coming here.

FALSE sense of superiority? FALSE?

No. I've lived here and elsewhere. No FALSE sense of superiority, I assure you.

I never wanted to fit in? Okay. I ONLY STARTED THE DAMN MESSAGE BOARD COMMUNITY 12 YEARS AGO!

You're so off base, so regionally biased, that it's really disturbing.

Yeah I do have a regional bias, it is pro East Tennessee, not a negative one towards another area like yours. I think everyone should be proud of where they are from and stand up for it.

Rod- I've been a newsman here, I've been with the so-called elites of the area and I've been down in the trenches with the people working for less than $60 a day.

Like it or not, that two front teeth married to his sister stuff is very well deserved.

And my favorite kind of gun is a lupara. Ever since I saw Jerry Reed in "Gator."

I'm not afraid of you. You're now so far off base on your topics, reduced half the time to saying I said things I didn't say or refuting your own point just to get at me that I'm pretty much proving the two front teeth married to his sister stuff to be true!

And the thing is, that's what the rest of the country thinks of this place. Pittsburgh gets rated America's Most Liveable City and east Tennessee gets rated in the worst places for singles lists.

Just how it is. Sorry.

Outside of no income tax and some decent roads (I used to talk about that on SoConHoops- nice positive stuff- and was actually attacked for it by the posters of that time- so much for not trying to fit in), what else is there?

Overzealousness for high school basketball? I mean, come on!

You are the master of the Strawman, not me. You are very well known for and it has been proven many times to attribute statements to people that they didn't make and then attacking those statements as if they were factual. If I say you said something then I post it and refute it.

RE: ETSU in the news AGAIN!
Well, let's see here. In the past week you have-

Accused me of stating that I didn't know the area sided with the north during the Civil War the post after I had written the area had.

Accused me of never trying to fit in to the area. That's absolutely laughable.

Accused me of saying $60 was a great deal of money when I offered it as charity- which nobody took me up on (thus a very revealing statement on this board).

By the way, never tried to fit in he accuses me of not trying to fit in after I offer to buy anyone who wants it a round of golf to play in the BFFF Tournament. Okay.

And you want me to not say you're a backwater illiterate after that?

Argued how rich people in east Tennessee were.

Accused me of slighting Keith Jennings.

Came up with some weird PC analogy of a perjorative term.

AND NONE OF THIS IS TRUE!

But I'm the master of the straw man.

Okay.

DISHONESTY- THY NAME IS ROD SHAW!!!!!

I'll take you up on it. In my little world, $60 of charity is a lot of money and would be most appreciated! Thank you in advance, Pitt! You're a good person. I'll look for your check in the mail next week.

There's no sense in UH not having its' own facility elsewhere, as should the daycare in Warf Pickel. The right grants could probably get a whole Child Studies/Early childhood development research complex built away from everyday college instruction, but still be on campus. It would give the folks who operate the daycare a more controlled environment that's alot more child friendly than trying to convert college classrooms on the 2nd floor of the education building for it. The only other thing that they could potentially do with UH is instead of it being what it is, turn it into more of a Middle College High School open to all students in the Tri-Cities but still allow professors kids to go there. Or do they already do that and maybe I just didn't realize it?

The 2010 Master Plan proposes moving UH to the University Innovation Park. Time frame unknown.

Across the street from the medical center. University Innovation Park is just an updated/rehashed version of the Med-Tech Corridor from the 90's.

Precisely.

Med-Tech corridor? You mean up off of State of Franklin, by Trupoint Bank, the Carroll Reese Post Office, and all of that?
