RE: BHNS Expansion
Roth tower needs to be expanded Bc more box seats are needed. There also needs to be a facade added, a graphic on the outside the stadium facing score board, and more seat backs.

Ya, facade is a biggy. I don't like our colors being black, gold, and aluminum.

I figure they probably will and should make it a brick facade to match the classroom buildings. Ecu has a nice wrap for their scoreboard we should have something like that too. Also, it'd be cool if they could include the "knight" theme with the facade by including Gothic arches or something.

RE: BHNS Expansion
Still think a 3rd EAST side level will be hard to sell...I say turn that area/space into more suites/indoor club areas...and add a 3rd level seats on the side of the current Roth Tower...as those seats (on the home UCF Side...plus the "shade side") will be much easier to sell than 3rd level seats on the EAST side.

With projected Big East Tv revenue we can actually make some of these improvements I'm excited about it.

I would love to see a medieval theme, but it would be tough to pull off and have it not look like it belongs at the "Wizarding World of Harry Potter", especially surrounded by palm trees and Art Deco Knights Plaza.

Those are gonna be some HOT seats come mid day games. Suns right in your face. Should be nicknamed "Sunshine Terrace" once built.

Found this old article, dated 2 years ago. There's a checklist of athletic expansion projects that was laid down, netting $70 Million, and it was approved by the Board to begin.

Timeline is 10 years, from 2 years ago:
  • UCF Academics/Athletics Support Center
  • UCF Baseball Complex stadium expansion (multiple phases)
  • UCF Baseball Clubhouse expansion and renovation
  • UCF Intercollegiate Tennis Center
  • UCF Track and Soccer Complex stadium expansion
  • UCF Track and Soccer Complex clubhouse
  • Wayne Densch Sports Center expansion and renovation
  • Bright House Networks Stadium expansion (multiple phases;Roth Tower Expansion (phase 1), 10,000 seat tier + club section (phase 2) )

RE: BHNS Expansion
Reviving an old thread; I know we're adding a student academic center next to the stadium but also there's a plan to add some other building next to that? Not sure what that one will be. I'm sure you have the details Kruciff. Also, there's the tiki bar expansion that's going in. I had an idea aside from the aforementioned ideas for BHNS improvement. Add wifi to the games, in Levi stadium for the 49ers they're allowing people with internet capable devices the capability to watch camera angles that are being used for tv feeds from their portable devices. Has there been a master plan update on facilities?

Seat expansion and "Tiki Bar" open air club

I think it's been consolidated into just one building, after we received This donation.

The other building will be the football operations center. They are moving the weight room locker room etc there. The problem is that was all budgeted with beast money projections and not AAC money

It's still two. One will be the student dev center for all athletes and the other will be the football operations

You'll have to forgive me, what's vynl? Do you know when they're breaking ground on the new student center?

I believe the sdc is after the tiki bar and the tiki bar is slated for next offseason. I still think we should build a lazy river around the stadium and call it the moat.

RE: BHNS Expansion
The central Florida future published a stadium master plan in its issue. The graphic doesn't look that impressive. It doesn't look all that different but I can't read the article.
