New TV deal
When does the current TV deal end? Also, if we get to the new 14 team C-USA before the deal is up do we get to renegotiate the TV deal or does it become void since we have more mouths to feed than the original contract called for?

I'd love to go with NBC. Game of the weeks could be on NBC before or after the Notre Dame games. Then 2 to 3 more could be aired nationally as well on the NBC Sports Network which is actually on basic cable unlike CBS Sports Network.

Not in Greenville. But I'd be fine with NBC getting the deal.

CUSA signed a new TV deal back in 2010 that was for $14 Million per year through 2015-2016.

ESPN sued CUSA and FOX after this deal was signed and ESPN won back the rights to the CUSA Championship Football Game as a settlement.

RE: New TV deal
I imagine the current deal stands until it runs out. No reason for TV partners to change it. They likely wouldn't save too much $$$, I don't think CUSA can void it on its own. That was the reason for possibly killing both CUSA and MWC, and starting a new league.

So schools likely get 1mil per year for 1st couple of years, working off the old deal. That actually is likely good for CUSA as it gets a couple of years to establish the new look.

You guys didn't get Versus on the standard cable tier?

Who is the cable provider in Greenville?

If its a contest between NBC Sports Network (formerly versus) and CBS Sports Network, NBC Sports is on (not available to but ON) more than 30 million MORE homes than CBS Sports Network.

Since NBC bought versus and rebranded it as NBC Sports earlier this year...their hockey tv ratings are JUMPED....which was a smart move on their part...and will probably help them get on more regular tiers...especially with the OLYMPICS coming up.

Yep.

Does anyone know if/how many of the Finals games are going to be on NBC Sports? I really don't want to go to a bar/friends house a bunch just to watch it.

Games 1 and 2...plus if needed Games 5-7 will be on NBC.

Games 3 and 4 in LA, will be on NBC Sports.

I have Suddenlink here in Charleston, and it's on basic channel 32. That's weird.

RE: New TV deal
Inventory needs to be broken and CBS is already trying to dumb down other conferences worth.

CBS totally focused on SEC but can't necessarily afford what others are offering in terms of filling the rest of their own inventory.

If I was CUSA, I would target Turner and networks outside the realm.

We don't have a contract with ESPN3, and before that CBS owned the rights, so no.
