Is this Marshall's year?
Doc Holiday has done a great job recruiting up there and they seem to have found their knack. They also have built up quite a defense in Huntington. This may actually be Marshall's year where they pull one out on us. Doesn't help that we play there.

RE: Is this Marshall's year?
I think this is it, under one condition: Blake Bortles has to turn over the ball at least twice for this to happen.
The big reason why we overestimated ourselves against FIU and UAB this past season is that we thought we were better. So O'Leary never thought that maybe his offense and Godfrey aren't exactly a match. Incompetence in coaching and overconfidence marred our year more than losing a good chunk of our defense.

RE: Is this Marshall's year?
I thought they were going to beat us last year, so it wouldn't surprise me. Its difficult to keep a streak like this going unless there is something fundamentally wrong with the losing team (e.g. Florida versus Kentucky).
That said, I agree with Tampa. Our overconfidence and the shattering of confidence that immediately followed really hurt us last year. I think that this years team is going to be more focused, so Marshall is going to have to have taken a good leap forward to match up with us.
Can Marshall beat us? Of course. But I think if this years team played Marshall's team ten times, I'd be surprised if the Herd won 4.

Make no mistake this year's herd will br gunning for us. The hope is like what Tampa said, that we don't turn over and keep a blue collar approach and just exhaust their defense. Spreading the field will be key to keep their secondary honest so they just don't stack the box.
