Nine Panthers returning after Coach Thomas' departure
There will be nine returning Panthers on first-year FIU coach Richard Pitino's roster this fall. Eight of those nine players will be available to play from the opening tip this coming season. Only Lekan Ajayi, a 6-11 center transfer from Wyoming, will have to wait until the 2012 fall semester ends to play due to NCAA transfer rules. Read more on Nine Returning FIU Basketball Players

We will have two centers in Ajayi, and DeLa Rosa at 6-10, returning for next season. JDLR is a surprise to me, but good thing the team won't be completely depleted.

Women BB is not bad, we made the NIT this pass season (one the first game as well). Men's BB is a completely different story. IT recruited fairly well, but they weren't coached up so it was just a lot of individual effort that won us a few games. Hopefully Pitino's tenure will bring a team game and more wins.
