Yes but just like it went from the Power 6 to the Power 5, the next move is for it to go to the Power 4. I think the end goal for some people is a new division of CFB that excludes even more schools (schools that were a part of the "haves" this last 15 or so years.

This was the only reservation I had about ODU moving to I-A football. This seems to be the path we are headed down, and I can definitely see Division I having a Power 4 at the top, I-AA at the bottom, and the rest of us stuck

in no-man's land in between, where even an undefeated season gets you nothing except a pat on the back after winning the Chef Boyardee Ravioli Bowl.

That isn't a prediction necessarily, but I think that is the goal of the power brokers in CFB.

One more thing--C-USA hasn't added schools based on what they have done in the past. They are adding teams based on the potential of what they can do over the next 15+ years. In addition to media market size and ECU's need for nearby mates, that is why programs like Old Dominion were chosen over Appy St or JMU. A lot of you want to complain about what schools were left out, but you really need to look forward instead of backwards.

You're asking a group of fans who have pushed for essentially 30+ years to play football at the highest
level to take a step back and be patient for another 15+ years while this league attempts to reach whatever potential it may have? I like ODU, I've pushed for ODU, but that doesn't change the fact that these teams we added are going to hurt the strength of the football league for at least 5-7 years if not longer.

Hurt the strength of football? How many power houses did CUSA loose to the BE this time? Was Memphsis a power houses, was SMU anything b/f June Jones arrived (and even now they are mediocre at best). What was Houston's record 2 years ago? UCF has had a decent run (I'll give them that). Between the two conferences CUSA did about as good as the BE considering Boisie St is coming in from another conference. When BYU joins CUSA all things will be equal.
