Just assume that he was sincere, but didn't know what transparency means. Substitute "vacuous" in place of every mention of the word transparency over the past 5-6 years, and I think it's clear that he was indeed sincere.

I think it is amazing that people are still claiming that this man was is not an American.

I guess we haven't evolved much since the Civil War days after all.

I guess now when somebody calls a conservative a "birther" all one would need to say in retort is, "why no, I just believed the first story he gave us."

The problem with lies is that you need to remember what lie you told to whom, and that more lies are needed to cover up the original lie and on and on. Soon it all begins to unravel. Are all of these things just "fact checking errors?" What a coincidence!

The bigger question should be why everything in the big O's life story has to be fabricated or made into a composite character ginned up for the circumstances? Why is the media obsessed with Romney's dog trip on top of the car instead of just maybe a little curious about the changing stories of the man who is President?

During his 2008 campaign, didn't Obama make some remark that he was "a blank slate?" Or was that said or written by one of his fawning journolisters? I honestly can't remember but I do remember the statement because it jolted me and got my attention. All that hope n change stuff and a blank slate. That's the ticket.

Guess you didn't read the article. None of us have said he wasn't born in Hawaii, just as the article didn't say that. It's more about his self and media generated image that seems to be constantly shifting and changing.
