With ODU soon to be only the 3rd FBS school in VA, do you see being able to keep alot of teh 757 recruits there as opposed to them going to UVA or VT or elsewhere?

Seems like if you all can keep alot of the local kids you will be stout in a couple years.

Get that stadium upgraded and expanded and we'll get our basketball arena spruced up (although I prefer implosion and rebuilding).

Easier said than done. Va Tech and UVA will still have the prime choices due to legacy and ACC affiliation, but we should be able to fare well especially if we expand the stadium.

As others have expressed I see us scooping up the depth of VT and UVA. Scenarios where kids want to play immediately or would maybe have to battle for a starting spot and wouldn't have to battle quite as hard at ODU. We're a long ways off from taking away anything directly from their recruiting. But I venture to guess they are paying attention...

Coach Wilder said that we will be very aggressive in seeking out "the typical" UVA and Tech recruits.

Aim high! I like it and will like it even more when we pull it off!

Yep, he said ODU will be going after the top recruits in Virginia.

No more of this "we want to be #3 after UVA and Tech."
