Realignment running out of steam
I think the end of the craziness is near. It's not here, but it is growing closer.

RE: Realignment running out of steam
Conference USA fans are running out of anti Big East scenarios. Unless something drastic happens like FSU and Clemson to the Big 12 I don't see much more movement besides maybe FCS teams moving to the Sun Belt and Conference USA.

The Big East isn't falling apart Boise just got into the Big West and the Big West could potentially land Fresno if they go to the Big East.

Seriously, that might be one of the best written articles on the subject I've ever read. I had never connected the boom of DVR to the increase in demand for on air sporting programs, but it makes perfect sense.

RE: Realignment running out of steam
At this point as much as I am disgusted with the future league ECU is going to be in it's probably better that things settle for at least a few years, and hopefully the future will lead to more internet streaming and and PPV options and what drives realignment will shift from "potential viewers" to how many will actually pay for your product. Markets are the current fad, but some new driver will probably be in control of the next major conference shift 10 or so years from now and hopefully it's something more in ECU's favor.

I enjoyed Siri reading it to me as I drove home from church last night. Good article.

Good read, mostly agree with it. Boise has not yet been brought into BW though. rumors of such are out there but nothing close to official on it. My guess from the Big 6, all are done except BE who will add 1 more from BYU, AF, Fresno.

I hope ArkStFan is correct. I hope this stops or slows significantly but I just don't see it. I think this is far from over.

Only so much fuel for the fire.

Few years ago a friend tried to get me to invest in his business buying and reselling houses after remodeling them. "They aren't making any more land and prices will only go up." I didn't invest and he just barely avoided losing his own home when the fire ran out of gas.
