Looks good to me.

It is a lot of travel. Long flights to Tampa, Dallas, and San Diego. But is that so much different than Boston College flying to Miami and Atlanta? Or Arizona flying to Seattle and Portland? I don't think travel will be a problem. The players are young. They can handle it.

It looks like a schedule Navy or Army would put together as an independent. I kinda like it.

Given circumstances, not bad.

Five of the first seven games are played at home. The first two away games are winnable. This give UConn the opportunity to get off to a good start.

In addition, UConn does not face either Houston or Boise.

WIthout question, UConn should capture a lot of W's and make it to a bowl without question with this schedule.

Correct. Boise, Houston, etc. would be on the schedule in 2014.

I hope they do use the "Colonial" and "Frontier" names. Or even just "East" and "West" would be ok. As long as the names make sense and can't be ridiculed like some other conference division names.

I like it, too. It's an interesting schedule.

And if I had season tickets, I'd like a home schedule of Towson, Maryland, Michigan, UCF, Cincinnati, Memphis, and Rutgers. That's a diverse group of football teams.

The long flights are into major airports which is a huge positive $$$ wise.

A Memphis game at UConn (my closest BE football school, by far) our first year in the league would be amazing. Yes, please.

I read that Temple would be in the West for at least one year. Only three western teams will be played, so I randomly chose Memphis, SMU, and SDSU. In 2014, UConn would then play Temple, Boise, and Houston.

If the Big East adds Fresno State for 2013, like Boise State and San Diego are allegedly requesting, the conference would have 7 teams in the Atlantic Division and 6 teams in the Pacific Division. The set-up would be like the current MAC format for two years, until Navy joins in 2015, and the schedule posted above would need to be redone again.

Our home schedule is absolutely awful this year: Army, North Dakota, San Jose State, Hawaii, Colorado State, UNLV, Air Force
2013 should bring about a much, much better home slate.

Those teams were a total of 30-44 last season with USM skewing that with a 12-2 record. Take them out and our home schedule was 18-42 last season and they are playing a team that was 2-10. EXCITEMENT!!!!

i cant wait for football season. i've been watching our new staff and they are going to get us turned big time.

It's pretty cool, but too early for snow.

We save our snow games for the Florida teams.

There are those freak early storms, dude. Remember the WVU-Rutgers game last year? We played that game in snow, and it was still October...
